about

“Life’s just a series of lows and highs” according to the singing of Milo on the mighty Descendents song ‘Dry Spell’. Everybody knows this but not everybody is able to cope with it. Comfort can be found in music but sometimes it’s time to sit still and evaluate things. Don’t be afraid to take a different road although it’s scary most times. It’s better to take full advantage of life’s opportunities than being trapped in a one-horse town. Leave no road untraveled.

lyrics

Looking back on the miles we traveled
And all the protest songs we sang
Am I fooling myself we changed something?
Or is this just the way we cope with things?
I don’t care much about ambition
Except for the chords that need to be played
Some will say it’s a dead end road
But I’m not afraid to sail away

(Leave - no road – untraveled )

Take my hand
Escape the depression you’re in

There’s time for raising fists
And time to drink
There’s time to think about
Which paths need to be changed

(Leave- no road – untraveled )

Take my hand
Escape the depression you’re in
I got trouble seeing the world as it is
On the other hand I’ve got no trouble to live (2x)

Leave no road untraveled (2x)

Take a rest when you’re stuck in too deep
Don’t let your problems drown you asleep
Sometimes we need time reinventing the wind
That sets our sails away.
Just take my hand
Escape the depression you’re in
We got trouble seeing the world as it is
On the other hand we got no trouble to live

Take my hand
Escape the depression you’re in
We got trouble seeing the world as it is
On the other hand We’ve got no trouble to live (2x)

Leave no road untraveled

Sweet Empire Amsterdam, Netherlands

Sweet Empire is a politically engaged melodic punk rock band from The Netherlands. Their sound is aggressive and emotional, yet melodic and playful. Mixing elements from 80's and 90's punk rock and hardcore, it is difficult to pin this four piece down to one genre. ... more
