about

Somehow right-wing politicians try to make people believe an ethnic minority causes the greatest deal of a country’s problems. This has happened several times in history and we all know where such populistic ideas can lead to. We wrote this song out of discontent with the rise of certain populist politicians in Europe. Populist people are smart people who twist statistics and thus the truth to gain more power. Don’t be fooled.

lyrics

Close the gates before they crawl in
They’ll set fire to our ‘perfect’ system
Feed the angst for unknown things
Don’t let them in (2x)
He from the East is a lesser being
Don’t let them in (2x)

Another doctrine for the moving masses-
From he who ‘says what we think’
We close the lines for you!
An old solution for the needy classes
One that suits their errored knowledge
Why close frontiers for you?

His words are the truth for you;
a loyal follower of populistic views
Not knowing the acts he will start
You proudly gave your vote to him

Close the gates before they crawl in
They’ll terrorize our beloved system
Feed the angst for unknown things
Don’t let them in (2x)
Why believe such a foolish king?
Don’t let them in (2x)
How can we classify a lesser being?
Don’t let them in (2x)

Another doctrine for the moving masses-
From he who ‘says what we think’
We close the lines for you!
An old solution for the needy classes
One that suits their errored knowledge
Why close frontiers for you?

about

Four friends, sharing a love of independent music, came together in the summer of 2008 to establish their own musical ... more kingdom: Sweet Empire. They started to create songs that are melodic and playful, yet at the same time deadly serious. Bringing to mind bands like Descendents, and Dag Nasty among others. Sweet Empire has a strong on animal rights, the environment, politics, and religion. less
